BUT I CAN DO THE Sony HDTV commercial:" i see your true colours, shining through, i see your true colours and that's why i love you!" [ermm. wait. i forgot. the rest.-.- AND my dear elizabeth i love you no more. cause i saw through your true colours and you have 暴力倾向. Thus i broke up with you.]
(honkiez just reminded me that dove uses that song too. and she knows the rest of the lyrics-.- wah!)
anyway. back to the cadbury song. WHO CARES ABOUT CHOCOLATE COWS EATING CHOCOLATE FLOWERS AND EDIBLE CAR ANYWAY?!?
and i realise something terrible berrible. After my applauding speeech last post about AGM still no action has been taken. So i have decided to use the Martin Luther King Version.
"I have AGM dream" I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in batch 40's history as the greatest demonstration for rights in the history of humankind.
10.8 score hours ago, a great squadmate, in whose symbolic speech have caused much commotion, protested for her human rights.. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to squadmates who badly wanted to represent batch 40 for AGM who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.
But 216 hours later, no action was taken in view of her speech. 216 hours later, the life of squadmates are still sadly crippled by the manacles of chuxi's drasticness and the chains of discrimination. 216 hours later, Chuxi still lives on a lonely island of self discrimation in the midst of a vast ocean of talents of her squadmates. 216 hours later, Chuxi is still chosen to represent batch 40 in the prestigious event of AGM and finds herself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.
We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind Batch 40 of the fierce urgency of AGM. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises to Chuxi. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of Chuxi's drasticness to the sunlit path of justice. Now is the time to lift our squad from the quicksands of injustice to the solid rock of sisterhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of batch 40.
It would be fatal for the squad to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the chuxi's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of justice and equality. Two thousand and seven is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that Chuxi needs to let her squadmates take her will now be content and will have a chance in representing the squad in AGM. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in NYNPCC until Chuxi is granted her rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our squad until the bright day of justice emerges.
But there is something that I must say to my squadmates, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining justice, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for justice by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and
discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into
physical violence.[which in chinese: 暴力倾向] Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting
physical force with soul force.
We cannot practice marching alone.
And as we march , we must take note of our 90 and 45 and not drag our boots.
We cannot turn back unless commanded to do so.
[
this part abit random]
There are those who are asking the devotees of Chuxi's rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as Chuxi is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of injustice. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of common tests, cannot gain lodging in the toilets of Nanyang Girls' High school because the cleaning aunty disallow us to do so. We cannot be satisfied as long as Chuxi's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as chuxi is stripped of her self-hood and robbed of her dignity by a sentence stating: "Chuxi must go and represent 40 in AGM."
And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the NYNPCC dream.
I have a dream that one day this squad will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all squadmates are created equal."
I have a dream that my four little moles on my face will one day no longer be recognised and they will not be judged by their color but by the position of it on my face.
I have a dream today!
I have a dream that one day, -- one day right there in chuxi's face that little black moles will be able to join hands with little pimples as sisters and brothers and stop traumatising my face.
With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our squad into a beautiful symphony of sisterhood. With this faith, we will be able to march together, to pray together, to sing llama song together, to go to ACT. and DALT together, to tie knots and lashings together, knowing that Chuxi will not have to represent batch 40 in AGM!
*ends speech abruptly cause chuxi faints*
*stands up again*
let llama song ring in your phones~~~~!
*faints again*
